What People's Say About Place

I went to post room for thanksgiving 2025 with our friends . We had a special thanksgiving menu . Everything was really good! We had squash soup, salad , fish, breast turkey , and steak , everything was delicious . The staff were very friendly and very helpful. Definitely we are gonna come back for another celebration or casual day .

Service was excellent, slow, but they were busy. Food was good, but not great or on par with the price point. Hours are nice and would recommend if you can walk to it.

I intentionally have to write this review to highlight how fantastic Jairzhino and Sokaina were when I dined on Sunday night. They were both so wonderful, accommodating, and attentive. It really makes a difference when service is amazing, and these two made sure of that! Even when we were seated, we mentioned we were celebrating two birthdays and they offered champagne. When I said I wasn’t drinking, Sokaina brought me an apple cider while my other girls were served champagne and to me, that was the kindest gesture! The food was lovely and the ambiance here is wonderful. What truly makes the experience is particularly the service, and this place with Jairzhino and Sokaina is a standout!

We had a group gathering over a afternoon tea and the Service Lance coordinated was wonderful. The atmosphere was lovely but not gooey and holiday loaded. We thought the service for tea was spot on and our guests enjoyed both full sweet and savory stacked trays as well as gluten free. The tea smelling was a nice touch along with boundless hot water...and for our selection bubbles. Well done Post room! Bravo!!.

This lounge restaurant was renamed to The Post Room recently from its former Beacon Lounge. The food is great but seems a little pricy for what you get. The service is however excellent, and service fee is included in the bill. The whole place has a classic antique look and feel to it. It's a quiet escape from the busy Powell Street that is easily accessible for classy and elegant dining experience.

Nice spot to enjoy dinner before going over to the American conservatory theater. The wait staff and team were very attentive and friendly. The food was on point. The atmosphere is more a bar/lounge than a restaurant, which it's just good to know. Set appropriate expectations.

The food was divine. I just had to leave a good review :) Our server Tessa was incredibly considerate and nice ;) Will come back to the place.

I learned about the restaurants from Monica, one of the Operation Mangers. Since I was visiting San Francisco, this restaurant was a perfect suggestion. I dined alone and was well cared for by Soukaina; amazing server. A couple days later I realized I needed an itemized receipt and again it was meant what professionalism and kindness this time by the restaurant manager, Vinny.
